Upon the Iranian new year celebrations, President Obama, has taken the much anticipated first conciliatory step towards Iran, that is to say the belated reaction to Iran's congratulatory message to his Presidential victory. The eccentric Iranian artist Davood Roostaei, is the founder of "Cryptorealism". Roostaei is by all definition, a classical case of a talented painter that seems to have found his path by illustrating his intentions and visions through multiple cryptic images, interweaved in even more mystery by changing the perspective. It is by all means an interesting method. Davood Roostaei, emerged in the 90's and T.H. Flemming (art critic) dubbed his style as "Cryptorealism". Taking a close look at todays world, and comparing the general mindset of todays peoples with that of a few generations before us, I have to admit, the problems are more or less the same, the attitudes and mentalities are exactly the same, love and hatred smell and tastes the same as it used to be in 722 BC, during which the Assyrians invaded and destroyed Israel.
