Obiter Dictum...Game over
Depending what side one is on this constant struggle between Iran and the Western trio (USA,UK,France), one tends to see and analyze the events differently, but any fudged analysis by any side to accommodate certain policies (which seems the only explanation for the effort at all) does not change the facts on the ground…. Yesterday, we saw one of the biggest ever pro Government February 12 Marches in Iran’s post revolutionary history, it seems the turn out was a way to send the realists and neutrals, as well as partners across the border all over the globe, a message. The message was a simple one, it simply read; do not believe the constant negative propaganda about Iran and about the downfall of any system or whatever else the objective might be by this extraordinarily biased anti Iran reporting by the so called established Western media.
All across the world, we see accusations of fraud and corruption , pro democracy demos and anarchistic attacks on the society, starting from the French unrest after Sarkozy’s election where for weeks streets of Paris were burning, or the Chaos days of Hamburg in Germany not to forget the Greek unrest over the killing of a student. The Iranian post election demonstrations was not much of a deal in a direct comparison, yet it was reflected by the Western trio in a manner, as if a revolution is about to take place. UK started its BBC Persian service with fantastic stories of blood and fire, needless to say ,unconfirmed and mostly nonsense. CNN established an Iran desk, as serious reporters like “Amanpour” refused to be a part of the apparent masquerade, an ambitious ex-Iranian Royalist serving in Pakistan (R.Sayah) took over. The editing of poor quality handy clips, that could have been produced anywhere (Wag the Dog) started to hit the screen as an alternative reality, not saying all are fake, only claiming many of them are fake and the news outlets know them to be fake, yet they broadcast them regardless.
So much dispassionately biased and unfair reporting over Iran, for whatever reason, next to the contamination of the legitimate opposition movement inside of Iran by declarations of support from stooges of AIPAC and CIA, (Pahlavi) or the socially and politically retarded Islamic Marxist "MKO" sect (Rajavi) was enough to destroy any decency and patriotic will amongst the members of the Green movement. Somebody said in some Charley Rose interview, “Iran's revolution can not be saved by anyone, except through a military attack on Iran” he was at least right in his conclusion…. alone the threat and unfair reporting brought so many previously disgruntled people to their defense, imagine what a military attack could unleash for support for the Iranian Government.
Should all this verbal and political attacks, disrespect and sometimes insult to Iran by the Western trio (media), be a diversion of attention from the real problems of that region, then it will not last for long, since the Palestinian issue has to be addressed some day, and Iraq will have to be given back, the Afghan/Pakistan conflict can not go on forever. If "one" argues that the media are independent of the states in the West… then I claim the "one" to be naive and not up to date .I recommend for every one to be vigilant and not blindly accept “any” news outlets when it comes to Iran, check both sides, then give the benefit of the doubt to Iran, the content is then empirically correct…take my word for it. By the way, despite “media” evidence to the contrary, this round of anti-Iran campaign is over.
