1 in 100 U.S. Adults Behind Bars
Adam Liptak, a NY Times reporter wrote an article stating that, For the first time in the nation’s history, more than one in 100 American adults is behind bars, according to a new report. He went on with an interesting statistic; "Nationwide, the prison population grew by 25,000 last year, bringing it to almost 1.6 million. Another 723,000 people are in local jails. The number of American adults is about 230 million, meaning that one in every 99.1 adults is behind bars." Thats an Important fact, suggesting a lot more than one might imagine. Lets just be realistic a minute long.....in the Land of the Free, 75% of the women, are all directly or indirectly involved in the sex industry, in order to finance their education or supporting their family in one way or another. They don't all have to be prostitutes, but lap dancing and telephone sex services, exotic dancing, Internet with all it possibilities and etc, etc , etc. Thats what I call enslavement.
