The Gospel of Barnabas

It is said…! In the beginning of it all and by that we mean for over 2000 years ago, there were the disciples of Jesus, whom if we contemplate their times never had any plans to establish a religion of any sort. The disciples were socially a group of  mixed Semite men and women. Most of them lived and observed their Jewish traditions and as far as it is known, not even their immediate neighbors had any reason to even consider them as peoples of a different set of beliefs… The only difference was a kind of Jesus additive, a touch of extra Jesus teachings or better said those virtues that moved everyone in his (Jesus) environment. There was no such thing as Christianity when Jesus disappeared. .. The whole movement really started when the Alpha elements of the Jewish hierarchy started making a fuss about these people undermining their absolute authority.

What Jesus is concerned, the existence of so many interpretations of events with regard to him is more than understandable, but are/is there any truth in them ?….. The few known absolute facts are, that a Child was born, and then there was nothing for a very long time….. Then suddenly at the age of 30, this child (in the meantime a carpenter) became a prophet. There are many unconfirmed legends and stories about Jesus of different ages, but they are nothing more than bedtime stories that could not be further from the truth...., simply made up.... surely well meant, but untrue nonetheless… In fact there exists absolutely nothing that confirms even his existence during those 29 years.
(And this can be considered the first indication of a historic manipulation of facts and events)

Another fact is that since Jesus’s disappearance and the times of his disciple, there were many books or better said Bibles in circulation, indirect documentations confirm around fifty (50) such books.  And fact is that 325 years after the Birth of Jesus, the Emperor of the time ordered this fifty books collected and a council ordered almost all to be destroyed ( yes a classical book burning ceremony). Only four of these books were selected to be used to manifest a new unified religion. The young carpenter turned prophet was declared God or better said the son of God overnight and all other notions were suppressed.  This of course explains the dark and unknown phase of Jesus’s Life (the 29 years mentioned above). Why would it have been necessary ? One example, a married son of God would have had to be explained (everyone in those days and regions was married by 20 at the latest)… And, what’s with the spouse and partner in life? ...well, that was the easy part.... she was simply declared a repentant whore and the world went for it….poor Maria M.

Back to our topic, In the meantime since God's ways are inscrutable, there have been findings of small fragments of different books. Remembering those few dozen books that were burned upon decree in 325 AD.....  Almost all the findings have managed to generated legitimate questions about the whole establishment of the known church, the politics of the last few hundred centuries and lastly the known and documented official history. One of these books was of the disciple Barnabas, a very old copy of which  was found by the Turkish police as it was being smuggled out of its territories. Had the smugglers succeeded, then the fate of this 1500 year old relict would probably have been the same as most of the findings in recent history… the archives of the Vatican. Instead it is now being displayed in a Turkish museum.

The content of this bible is perhaps the most interesting……. there is something for everyone.....every group seems interested in a specific area...  Muslims for instance feel confirmed in its Mohammad predictions….. The Non Catholics found so much to ridicule the trinity thing…. the Jews seem relieved of the blame of the crucifixion. Best part, Petrus (Peter) now historically certified, was after all the presumed opportunistic "A...hole" always suspected of... there are many big and small De facto leaks (to put it in a modern perspective) that should really change our sentiments on almost every aspect of religious, social and political history in every level. This gospel actually tears down the curtains on all the false wars and wanton idiocies that have been carried out in the name of religion. Millions and millions have fallen to it throughout the centuries and even today, in the time of education and information… when and where everybody can read, discuss and decide for themselves….yet stumble on our self-preservation drive.

The Barnabas Gospel however, is already being secluded and suffering an organized apathy, that has its roots in political considerations, yet it is still one of the most interesting discoveries of our time...
