The New Campaign

The changing world equilibrium and the obvious problems certain powers are having with Iran, along with their anti Iranian allies and that specially in the last few months, brings inevitably to attention that the Iranian Nuclear case seems to have been chewed through and needs  resolving. But as we move around and change our standpoints, we notice a new agenda on the horizon against Iran and all what is Iranian for whatever reasons… be it regime change or simply irritations or the worst case scenario is,  the hope to disintegrate Iran. (which shall never happen in Iran mind you, but US/UK and Israel seem never tired to promote the cause…. One speculates Scotland to be the Karma thing that might haunt the UK at the end).

When you look at the reports on Iran in the sponsored Persian websites of BBC, VOA and Radio Israel… the mention is always of minorities that are under duress or in despair or somehow some monstrosity  that is happening to them in Iran.. be it  Balouch, or Arab or Kords, Lors, Azaris…… etc. For instance, should someone be a murderer and is due to be punished… suddenly his or her dialect or city of birth becomes relevant to the above mentioned sponsored outlets… like they refuse to mention the crime of murder, but emphasize that he was a Balouch or a Kord or etc……

These kinds of wanton agendas, are not new and Iranians are more than familiar with..but newly they have started the campaign of claims of religious minorities being discriminated and apparently by that  hoping to pressurize Iran into whatever they think can be achieved… as if they are dealing with some satellite state that can be shepherded into buying useless western junk with their Petrodollars by promising to stop their sponsored outlets with critical reportings….

Whatever the case, the issue of religious minorities in Iran has never been further from the truth, but there is one special group, an offspring of Shia Islam that do not enjoy the same rights should they insist on being a religon…. As we know (maybe not all) but in the religion of Islam, 124,000 prophets have been certified to have existed… and in the same book it has been stated that the last of Gods prophets is Mohammad, and that with him it is closure, and that all has been said what had to be said. Keeping this in mind, now alone the claim of being a new prophet is against one of the main pillars of this religion and one should not be surprised to find him or herself to be standing offside should they insist otherwise.

There are undoubtedly a few dozen thousand followers of this new religion in Iran and I believe 6 Million worldwide….and one can only recommend live and let live no matter where and who….but insisting on challenging a state that has been fighting its entire existence against foreign pressures is idiocy to say the least. BUT, since we know Iranians are no Idiots, no matter what faith, then consequently we must conclude that this suggested monstrosity (discrimination) does not exist and is a made up case, (like the nuclear issue).. and it seems it is still in the making, so let us declare it a wanton and malicious provocation to harm Iran, yet again!

To understand what we are talking about I would like to shortly explain a little about this particular religion in focus of these sponsored outlets….well aware, that many dear friends might not be amused…..but by all love and respect, they must also accept other definitions of their faith and not condemn it automatically as some pro or contra political gesture.

It all started in the mid 19th century, an Iranian businessman from the city of Shiraz in Iran hardly 24 years of age (for reasons only known to him)  suddenly claimed to be a unique Quran interpreter..  many considered this due to business reasons and someone seeking attention, (please note : Reading and translating is one thing but interpreting is another and usually in the religion of Islam people in much older and wiser years, after publishing their works and being recognized by other wise men and etc. can make the claim of being an interpreter.)…

In any case, the published works of this businessman called Mr A.M. Shirazi (Ali-Mohammad Shirazi), was incredibly dubious as he invented Arabic words to rhyme his publications  these invented words had Persian letters of “G” and “P” in them.. which needless to mention the Arabic language does not have, but illiterate peoples of those days knew not of these issues (very much like the Christian peasants of Europe who spoke no Latin and were asked to follow blindly)… …However, Mr Shirazi's claims began to raise even more eyebrows as he claimed to be the Messiah or the Mahdi or the harbinger (Shia faith like the christian faith waits for the Messiah).. with which he managed to become a follow ship of almost 3000 people…

But the Royal family of those days were asked by the clergy to stop this dangerous messianic trip, after which he was tried and executed in 1850. (please note: Even today in the west we have from time to time people who claim to be the one and that the world to be ending and that they have the key to salvation..etc. needless to say many follow them to their deaths.. so nothing new there).. ..By the way, all his 3000  followers were also killed later… Mr Shirazi's movement took six years and his followers were called “Babis”.. he himself became known by his follwers as “Bab”

In 1860, around 10 years after Mr Shirazis execution a Mr  H.A. Nouri  (Hossein-Ali Nouri) emerged and claimed to be the promised prophet that Mr Bab (above mentioned Messiah) has been talking about…Mr Nouri was in his lifetime married three times, had 14 children, and his declarations and announcements were largely “common sense reloaded”, things we all know .. like  there is only one God and the usual 10 commandments and all religions are equal and etc. etc. Understandably many progressive anecdotal, statements and announcements that are attributed are all positive in nature and generally ethical statements and many followed throughout the years.. which undoubtedly demands endorsement and recognition for its reform ability.

But quite honestly, all what is given as guideline and lifestyle in this "religion" are not more than some cut out philosophy of life....which can be found almost everywhere in the Eastern civilizations in different colors and tastes, depending where your ship hits land.... In the known literature, there is a name for them and it is certainly not "religion", but in order not to have this page stereotyped, we avoid naming the baby by its name. We simply leave it to those who follow it to call it what they want.

Mr Nouri’s ( now being called “Baha”) social standing, due to the marriage (his first wife) and his other connections was considerably high, so execution on grounds of blasphemy was inconceivable, so he was sent (some say encouraged to leave) into exile and Turkey was asked to keep him and his entourage (family) under control. Hope was to cure his messiah syndrome, so he was sent to Palestine where all contemporary Prophets seem to want to be. It was shortly before 1870, when Mr Nouri reached Palestine and was put in Jail… Mr Nouri was soon released and allowed to travel around, a letter by a British physician to a newspaper was probably helpful.. Mr Nouri spent his few final years in peace and comfort while his oldest son “Abdol-Baha” did all the work in the organization (underneath a photo of Mr Abdol-Baha as he was being knighted by the British ) Nuff said ! ;)

The coincidence of this faith having its temple in Israel, where a bunch of rotating anti Iranian politicians a la Netanyahu keep wanting to bomb Iran into oblivion does not help their (Baha'i) cause either,…. Nevertheless, this is the way it is,  and what Iranian followers of the Baha'i faith is concerned, there is no room for any form of disloyalty towards Iran, no matter what the costs…. Their (US/UK/Israel) plan is Iran's destruction, so allow no one to exploit you (Baha'i) for it… Iran has its fights tailored out that takes it well into the 2020’s.. but what your (Baha'i) establishment is concerned, maybe relocation into USA or the UK would help. Remember the Alavites ??? You can take them as an example.... they were also endorsed in the late 1970's and now Iranians are fighting in Syria to protect them from being slaughtered by the Wahhabi's... So recommendation might be,  prove your loyalty to Iran however you see fit and have patience till Iran has won its fights and has more space to breath.
