New Facts on Iran !




According to the final results of the 2011 National Population and Housing Census of Iran, the country’s population has reached 75,149,669 people. According to the census data, men constitute 50.4 percent of the country’s population, and women account for 49.6 percent, meaning 102 men to 100 women.

Furthermore, the rural population constitutes 28.5 percent of the total population of the country, and urban population accounts for 71.4 percent. The population of the country has more than doubled since 1976, when it was 33.7 million people, Tehran, with a population of 12 million, is the most crowded province of the country, and Ilam, with a population of 557,599, is the most sparsely populated province.

According to the published census, there are 1.6 million empty homes in the country. The number of cities in the country has increased from 201 in 1956 to 1331 in 2011, eight of which are metropolises whose populations are more than one million,

On the religion of Iran’s population, it said that the number of Muslims has increased from 70 million in 2006 to 74.68 million in 2011, and the population of Christians has risen from 109,000 in 2006 to 117,000 in 2011, and the number of Jews has decreased since 2006. (On this specific statistics we must consider the Bahai faith which is not represented in the census as a religion, and that it does (I speculate)number around 100,000 and this number is not verifiable)

The population of Afghan immigrants to Iran has increased from 1.2 million people in 2006 to 1.452 million in 2011 and the number of Iraqi immigrants has risen from 44.09 thousand to 51.5 thousand.

Some more interesting information purposely ignored by western media are women's University entries in Iran, which is around 60%. Furthermore life expectancies have risen in Iran during the the last few years to over 72 for men and 75 for women. There are many more interesting features in the statistics but apparently Iranian authorities seem to be holding the more sensitive ones back for obvious reasons (US/UK/Israel troika)

Chaldoran 1514 AD

It was late summer in the year 1514, and Iran had a new dynasty in power(The Safavid 1501-1722). The distinctive difference here was the fact that the Safavids were the first "Shia" dynasty that used all methods in the book to convert all Iranians into a homogeneous religion, since the "Iranshahr" factor (which was the name that Iranians used for their country) did not seem enough to mobilize a sense of national unity to refute new national threats, mainly the Afghans and the Turks. Wikihoax on Iran

Here are some of the supposed leaks on Iran, mixed with some true ones concerning other countries and their heads of states or controversial ministers (of course harmless ones), making it a bit problematic and that much harder for consumers of such information to "not" believe. Always remember,the most talked about issue amongst all heads of states without exception is and has been the mother of all conflicts (namely the Israeli & Palestinian conflict). Yet there is not a single word issued from anywhere or anyone, not even sworn enemies of one or the other states.... If that did not give you a reason to doubt then nothing else shall.
