The Sanctions Committee

Image
Probably one of the more interesting aspects of Iran’s not so far history...We should travel back almost a century and imagine the world of the First World War to understand the environment in which our article unfolds… In those days, Iran as a nation and country was struggling to survive the last stages of a dying feudal hierarchy based on an absolute monarchy system. The Monarchy itself, was trying to survive the times with all the revolts and revolutions, probably only surviving because of the foreign support it was receiving. (very much like the Monarchies of the southern Persian gulf tribal states)........This objective was being achieved through constant yielding and accepting too many wishes and granting too much influence to the two super powers of the time, Russia and Britain, and all that regardless of Iran's national interests. The Iranian shortcomings in dealing with these super powers and the granting of so much privilege to them surpassed all levels of toleranc...

Illusions about Syria

Image
One of the many strange paradoxes promoted for decades in the Western narrative on the Islamic Republic of Iran - consistently repeated by so-called "Iran experts", government officials, and the Western propaganda machine in general - is that Iran is growing increasingly unstable and unpopular (if not imploding), yet simultaneously it is on the rise and its "menacing" influence can be felt throughout the region and beyond. Of course, the internal contradictions of this discourse are linked to Orientalist stereotypes and attitudes prevalent in the West among mainstream secular liberals, pseudo-progressives, and neo-conservatives alike, who cannot grasp the possibility of a stable and legitimate political order that is not based on Western "values". For such people - even those critical of Western support for despots, extremism, apartheid in Palestine, mass surveillance and cyber warfare, hegemony, liberal capitalism, plutocracy, secret prison...

Stuxnet is not a virus!

Image
Anyone who has not heard of the word “Stuxnet” is probably living in a parallel world, looking it up will give us a definition that simplifies it into a computer Virus thus classifying it as the known modern phenomenon that is around.   We think, such new technologically generated phenomenon shall always be around….as long as it’s not a biological hazard, the assumption will be, we can live with it and contain it when the time comes, as was the case with countless other such Viruses like the Millennium Bug or prior to that the Davin chi bug and etc. However Stuxnet, is and was never a Virus, but simply a complot. (All diagrams with regards to it being a Virus and all those complicated and intimidating illustrations and explanations are false and intended to confuse)   The name of the game is irrelevant and the names of the companies involved indeed not quite irrelevant but in this article secondary, because it should not divert our attentions in making this “comp...

35 Years !

Image
Thirty-five years ago today, millions of Iranians embraced a religious leader promising freedom from a corrupt monarchy and national independence. Now many want a better standard of living and improved civil rights. “Living standards are 50 percent higher today than they were before the revolution, but so are expectations,” said Djavad Salehi-Isfahani, an economist who regularly visits Iran.  After years of sanctions targeting Iran’s Central Bank and integral oil revenue, and government mismanagement of funds, the country is financially pressured, with unemployment above 14 percent. “Iran focused their attention on the provision of health, education, and infrastructure [electricity, clean water, and roads] for underprivileged areas,” the Virginia Tech professor told IPS. “These developments have helped move large sections of the poor into the middle class and a modern life style,” he said. Today, citizens from that expanding middle class and across Iranian soc...

The never ending threats...

Image
We now know how ridiculous the western press has become, but once again taking a few steps back and looking at the whole picture ... gives us an impression of how stultifying. Threatening Iran seems to have become an issue vital in keeping Israeli lobbyists on a leash, and If there were still  members of the press out there with a touch of integrity... they would be asking what, how or why they insist on keeping the world on their toes with these constant threats.. Here are some chronological examples.. AFP - October 29, 2004: Voice of America - September 2, 2005: The Washington Times - September 29, 2005: Nonproliferation Policy Education Center (NPEC) - October 2005: U.S. State Department - November 24, 2005: AFP - October 4, 2006: Arms Control Association - November 2006: World Jewish Digest - January 2007: Britannica - September 22, 2008: Wall Street Journal - March 17, 2009: AFP - July 15, 2009: Bipartis...
